This model was inspired by the Karr-Koussevitsky bass.

It was commissioned by Peter Mcloughlin who wanted a Gamba model bass to play solo repertoire which didn`t lack in the bass register.

I used the same classical lines as the original but made alterations to create a larger volume of air , giving the instrument power in the lower frequencies  but still keeping the playability of the original at the top bouts.
