This bass was commissioned by Tony Alcock, section leader of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Tony owns the original bass it was modelled on - John Lott Senior made in 1840.
Within the first few months this bass has been played at the Proms and taken on tour with the CBSO to Europe.
The model is a magnificent example of one of the greatest English makers.
